Blank screen after Windows 10 upgrade

If you hit the CTRL key while the black screen is up, it should put you into the Windows login password field (though you will not see anything on the screen).

Enter the password and hit Enter (again, you will not see anything on the screen as you do this).

That should bring up the normal windows login screen, and allow you to click on the user's name and enter the password to get to the desktop.

Then go to Settings> System> Power & Sleep> Additional Power Settings> Choose What the Power Button Does> Change Settings that are Currently Unavailable> remove the check in Turn on Fast Startup.

Reboot the PC.
