Many users create a bookmark in their web browser to save them time when accessing SmartMLS. This allows them to get right to the SmartMLS login screen (possibly even with their user name and password already stored) rather than having to first open their web browser of choice, enter www.smartmls.com and then click the login button. Once created, the bookmark will appear the top of your web browser, so your favorite sites are just one click away!
Unfortunately with bookmarks, the web address (URL) behind the bookmark occasionally changes, which leads to the bookmark no longer working. This has happened to SmartMLS a couple of times over the years. When this happens, if you try using a bookmark that was created using an old URL, it will no longer work. It must be recreated using the correct URL.
As of December 2023, the correct URL is:
https://smartmls-sso.connectmls.com/realms/connectmls/account/
If you have a bookmark that is not pointing to the proper URL, or you see an error when you click/tap on your shortcut, you must create a new bookmark. Please use the following instructions to create a new bookmark in your web browser. We are including instructions for this process for the major web browsers.
*** Start the bookmark creation process while you are on the SmartMLS Member Dashboard (the page that comes up after you have gone to www.smartmls.com and logged in with your user name and password). ***
Google Chrome
Once you are on the Member Dashboard, click the star icon on the far right side of the address bar:
You will then see the following popup:
If you'd like to change the name or location of the bookmark, click the Bookmarks bar link (highlighted in orange above) and you'll see this window:
Make any necessary changes and click Save when you're done.
If you select Bookmarks bar, the bookmark will be pinned to the top of the browser.
Firefox
Once you are on the Member Dashboard, click the star icon at the far right side of the address bar (you can also hit Ctrl+D on your keyboard).
You will get a popup window that allows you to give the bookmark a name and select where you would like to save it:
If you select Bookmarks Toolbar, the bookmark will be pinned to the top of the browser.
Click Save when you are finished.
Microsoft Edge
Note: bookmarks are called Favorites in Edge.
Once you are on the Member Dashboard, click the star icon at the far right side of the address bar (you can also hit Ctrl+D on your keyboard).
You will get a popup window that allows you to give the favorite a name and select where you would like to save it:
