Rental listings on Zillow

In early 2021, Zillow officially switched from being a consumer portal to an IDX site. In addition to this change, they have also made the decision to manage rentals in a new fashion, through their Zillow Rental Manager product.

*** These changes have no effect on for sale listings. Those will still be syndicated to Zillow, at no cost, through an IDX feed from SmartMLS. ***

There are several steps that must be completed in order for your rental listings to appear on Zillow sites.

  1. The office's Broker must first opt into Zillow's Feed Connect service ( SmartMLS has nothing to do with this process). For more information, and to authorize your office's account, please email Zillow at rentalfeedinquiries@zillowgroup.com. Zillow will work with the Broker to facilitate the office's listings being displayed on their sites.

  2. After your office is set up with Feed Connect, you (as a listing agent) must use the Zillow Rental Manager to claim your own rental listings. Click here for more information on Rental Manager.

  3. Zillow rental listings are based on a subscription model and fees may apply per listing.
