Agent phone number or email on IDX sites

When viewing listings online on IDX websites or consumer portals, the list agent's (or office's) contact information (phone number, email address) may or may not appear next to their name. The website you are on and the source of the listing will determine whether or not you'll see list agent/office contact information on listings outside of the MLS.

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) recently suggested adding the list agent's phone number and/or address to IDX sites. Some websites (such as realtor.com) have already decided to move forward with NAR's recommendation and are now displaying the office phone number. Additionally, some MLSs have also adjusted their policies to include this information in their data feeds. 

The SmartMLS Board of Directors will have to approve this change and add it to the Rules and Regulations before this information will appear on SmartMLS listings on these downstream websites.
